BIOMECHANICAL Complete Work On New Album
February 10, 2005U.K. progressive epic thrash metallers BIOMECHANICAL have completed work on their sophomore album, "Empires of the World". "The final Masters were delivered to the Earache Records office on Tuesday, February 8.
"[Vocalist] John K. joined [mixer] Andy Sneap at the Backstage studios on the 16th January for two weeks and delivered the recordings of the album and also assisted Andy with any extra information needed on the structure of the songs," the band write on their web site. "He left the studio on the 1st February.
"Andy's style of mixing took the BIOMECHANICAL sound to a new direction without losing sight of the orchestral orientated sound and the spacious vocals that were featured on 'Eight Moons'. He elevated the mix and gave the album a very crisp and powerful feel!! Also Andy worked on some of the tracks even after John left to make sure everything had the right feel to the final cut.
"The mastering also took place at the Backstage studios and was done on the night (long night) of Monday the 31st January/morning Tuesday 1st February.
"Both the record label and the band are thrilled with the final result and the production department at the Earache office is now working on the cover of the album."
"Empires of the World" is scheduled for an April release via Elitist/Earache Records. A rough pre-mix version of the track "Disintegration" is available for download at this location.
As previously reported, BIOMECHANICAL have been confirmed as main support to NEVERMORE at the Hydrogios Club in Thessaloniki, Greece (vocalist Jon K.'s home country) on March 26.
BIOMECHANICAL's debut album, "Eight Moons", was released in 2003 through Revolver Records.
